It really holds a special place in my heart. This was my first ever vacation alone, and Tatsuo was amazing at easing me into the stay. I miss Japan badly, and I feel Tatsuo was a key contributor to making everyday great. The location was great with heaps of food nearby, the rooms were cosy, felt like a home away from home. The toilets and showers were very clean and so was the rest of the building in general. Would live there if I could, 10/10

Ryokan Kamogawa Asakusa is a 2-minute walk from Kaminarimon and Sensoji Temple. Asakusa Subway Station is a 5-minute walk away. The hotel offers Japanese-style accommodation with a free private bath and free internet. We were welcomed most passionately after a long travel day which was so nice. The beds on the floor were very comfortable and we slept so well. The location is perfect for exploring the local area - quiet at night but 2 minutes to the bustling shopping areas and local tourist attractions. Lots of restaurants close by and a 5 min walk to the metro station. The private bath was a lovely treat. All staff had quite good english which is so helpful in Japan as many do not !

In addition, we had been provided with two bicycles and free goodies for our stays. At the check-out time in the early morning 6:30 AM, we had greeted with some meaningful gift for our stays. Exceptional reception and hospitality from the owner!

These are accommodations which are run by the families of ( former) priests of the temple. They live in the house too, but you don't see or hear them much. The house was stunning, I love the old architecture. The food they made was SO good and much, I was always full. If you do not like sleeping on futons, this is not an option for you. The view on shimmering tokyo was stunning. The room was big and had its own bathroom. The women shared hot bath was clean and nice to use. I have been treaded nicely and with respect.
