Guest house Hotobil B&B 潤 An inn that enjoys breakfast has 2 rooms, both with a tatami (woven straw) floor, a low table with seating cushions and a flat-screen TV. Guests sleep in traditional futon bedding on the floor. Bathroom facilities are shared. The host was very kind and friendly. She has an adorable little doggo with a huge sense of protecting the house. We got the best sleep here, at our first Ryokan in Japan. The entire place offers a bigger space than a standard hotel room, equipped with all the required facilities. The breakfast was amazing, cooked by the host itself. She asked us what type of breakfast we prefer (Japanese or European) and we chose the Japanese one, of course (which we recommend you to choose as well, if you stay one night only). We are sad that we planned a single night in Nara in our itinerary so we didn't have enough time to enjoy this stay and to talk more with our host. She is a good english speaker, which is pretty rare in Japan (at least for the people that we interact with, even at the hotel's reception). Both me and my wife kindly recommend Hotobil if you are looking for a great experience at a Ryokan in Nara.

Basic Japanese-style rooms overlook the temple compound, and feature a tatami (woven mat) floor, on which traditional futon bedding is spread to sleep in. They are fitted with air conditioning and a safe. The most incredible setting!The room was absolutely gorgeous, the food was delicious and the service exceptional!

Great starting place to walk anywhere in the area and visit all sites. The onsen is super and very relaxing. Free coffee and drinks in the lobby at all hours, restaurant onsite, and a communal sitting area are nice too.

The food experience was very unique, the team was very helpful to accommodate my requests and did their best to make sure my stay was smooth!

Located in Ikoma and only 8.8 km from Iwafune Shrine, Kanko Ryokan Yamato provides accommodation with city views, free WiFi and free private parking. At the ryokan, each unit comes with a tatami and a TV. At the ryokan, all units have a shared bathroom with slippers and free toiletries. The host together with her two dogs welcomed us the best way possible, we are so grateful! The location is incredible with a beautiful view on the city at night but also it is located near Hozan-ji which is a great and peaceful temple both during day and night times, I recommend !!

An Asian breakfast is available daily at the ryokan. There is a coffee shop, and packed lunches are also available. The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. The location was picturesque and overall incredibly pleasant to look around at. The property itself is very well maintained, truly delivers the classic ryokan experience, onsen are amazing and very enjoyable, the staff was wonderful and incredibly helpful. The food was something else - both the kaiseki dinner and the breakfast were delicious, filling and a great pleasure to partake in. Overall, would highly recommend, I had a blast staying at Kadojin.

Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is nested by the creek yet right across the street from the bus stop. The location is perfect. The host gave us a ride to the nearby public Onsen and gave us a tour to the Tenkawa Daibenziten-Sha Shrine, where the Emperor of the Southern Court had lived around 700 years ago. We took a less than two-hour scenic hike to the Dorogawa Onsen village, and 25 minutes bus back. Loved their private bath which includes both indoor and outdoor tubs all to yourself but needs to book with the host.

We loved every second in this ryokan! It was perfectly located, the room was spacious and the beds were soooo comfy. We even used the in-house bathing area and it was all so perfect. We can only recommend it! The staff was really friendly as well.
