This is a great place to stay in Utoro. Clean, spacious (for Japan) sized rooms with stunning view over the ocean and Shiretoko peninsula. Has a well equipped kitchen with free filter coffee all day as well as usual vending machines. About 15 minutes walk to the town centre and some great restaurants. Shame the balcony on second floor is no longer there but you can sit on the sea wall and enjoy a beer at sunset.
A beautiful, old inn near the entrance to the Shiretoko Peninsula. Especially gorgeous with autumn leaves all around.
I was really impressed by the size of and private onsen in the room and food selection during breakfast and dinner. For my 16-day Hokkaido trip, I spent the 3 most comfortable and enjoyable days at this hotel.
We stayed here for 2 nights in November 2023. The Japanese-Style Twin Room - Non-Smoking - West Wing, the room was tidy, very spacious and overlook the Sea of Okhotsk. Internationl and Japanese original dish in buffet breafast and dinner. Lots of choices and very delicious dishes. There are male and female Onsen, also you can book a private Open Air Onsen Bath. Onsite Hokkaido souvenir shops for shopping and tax refunds as a big bonus. We would denfinely stay here again if we go to Shari again.
Beautiful room with seaview; great private onsen; fantastic dinner and breakfast; the place is run by a very nice and friendly family and staff. Very highly recommended
The moment your car pulls up, you are greeted by smiling staff who give 90 degree bows and offer to help with your luggage. You are greeted by a lovely woody scent the moment you enter the place, as well as more staff who greet you. My family absolutely loooved the breakfast buffet! The onsen was also amazing and I went there every night. I also really liked the cute decor and furniture of the hotel lobby; each piece was unique but worked together well. My family really liked Kiki and I was sad to leave.
Great view(especially sunset) and a nice lounge with a good view , a clean and spacious room and a kitchen which had a various equipments.
The manager is a great host and cook. The facilities are very clean and the staff very easy to communicate with, when needed. We were able to have great seafood prepared for us by the host/cook and he also provided us with a guided tour of the immediate countryside.
