I stayed in the dormitory, where i was given a futon and a night lamp. I went in April, which is a pleasant weather, and the room was well insulated. Everything was really clean. It is not normal to arrive that late, as there is no more public transportation that late, but it was not a problem. The woman was very kind and explained everything.

Dot Hostel&Bar 富士山 is 3.3 km from Kawaguchi Asama Shrine and 4.3 km from Kawaguchiko Bridge. We stayed in a beautiful twin room which was roomy enough for luggage, a small table and chairs. It included a full bathroom with a tub shower. The lounge area was comfortable and pleasant to hang out in. The kitchen facilities were comfortable enough so that someone could make simple meals for themselves. We traveled to the area by bus, and the bus stop was adjacent to the hostel. Just be careful watching the bus schedule, early and late times are not available. The location was terrific. We had great views of Fujisan, an enjoyable garden area along the lake, and miles of walking or biking path.
