We priorly stayed 2 nights at this hotel, and also booked it for our last night in Takamatsu before flying back home, so total 3 nights. At our last stay, we arrived early at the hotel with our bikes (as we have been traveling city to city with our bikes) but the luggage area was full, and we didn't want to leave our bikes (foldable) at the normal bike parking place due to they're quite valuable, and the hotel staffs offered to let us leave the bikes near the front desk so they could keep an eye on them. It was very kind of them and am impressed that they're very flexible about it.
Amenities are available at the hotel lobby as well as tea bags or coffee (UCC drip bag coffee). The hotel also uses Imabari towels, which says a lot about their standard. I was impressed.
Rooms were great, breakfast was amazing, wished my stomach is bigger so I could try everything. The hotel is also close to many great udon shops and there's maps in English and Japanese at the front desk.
The bus stop for the airport bus is right outside of hotel front door, so it's super convenient for us as we had a lot of luggage.
Highly recommend this hotel if you don't need to be right next door to JR station or the ferry pier.

Only 15 minutes walk to Takamatsu Airport. Whenever we need they give us their shuttle bus to/from the airport. The room was more spacious than I expected. Only one thing I concerned about the mould in the bathroom. That’s totally not acceptable.

Great place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of major cities in Japan, also a perfect jumping-off point for exploring islands in the Seto Inland Sea. It’s a bit sleepy and not tourist oriented, but that’s part of the charm. Plus, some of the best udon i’ve ever had.

Takamatsu is a wonderful city to explore, and it has famous sites such as Ritsurin Garden and Yashima Temple. It has lots of options for shopping and eating, and beautiful views from many locations. There's also an opportunity to take Udon making class and visit nearby islands. Udon and other local delicacies are easy to find and excellent.

Takamatsu - like the rest of Shikoku - is chronically overlooked by most tourists it Japan in favor of the traditional ‘Big Name’ places like Osaka & Kyoto, but that doesn’t make it any less deserving of your visitation. On the contrary, the fact there are relatively few tourists means you can enjoy it all to yourself!
For one, it’s easily accessible. Arriving from Okayama on the Shinkansen, take the Marine Liner and you’ll be there in an hour. Even better, the ride is amazing with the views from the Seto Sea bridges that you cross giving you phenomenal views of the waters and islands between Honshu & Shikoku.
Once you arrive, you’ll find everything is nearby: the compact city center means that most attractions are easily & quickly accessible, together with plentiful shopping & dining areas.
But best of all is the beauty you’ll find here: The waves of the sea lapping the shore, the views for miles around from the top of the Icon Tower, nearby islands you can explore with a short boat ride, and cultural attractions like Shikoku Village and Ritsurin Koen that easily rival anything you can find in Kyoto.
Takamatsu is a hidden gem that just happens to be on the side of Japan where tourists don’t tread. But as lamentable as it is that it doesn’t get its deserved recognition, the absence of tourists is a good thing in that you can enjoy it without having to worry about crowds!

The 'Ritsurin Garden' is probably the finest garden in Japan...
The 'Ritsurin Garden' is probably the finest garden in Japan and was my first 'target'. Although I arrived at 09:00 and spent over 4-hrs in the Garden, I only managed to take in the South Garden. I really should have allowed some extra time to complete the North Garden as well but tiredness and the need to continue on to other destinations prevailed. Please note that the garden opens at sunrise throughout the year; in September that means they open at 05:30am! Had I known that, I would headed there much earlier.
My second 'target' in visiting Takamatsu was to visit the latter temples (Temples 78 ~ 87) on the Shikoku Pilgrimage. Most of these (as well as Ritsurin Garden) are fairly accessible from the various lines of the Kotoden Electric Railway, so I would recommend purchasing day passes for frequent travel on the Kotoden.

Naoshima, Teshima, Ritsin Garden, Takamatsu Castle are the sites to see in town and there are others in town as well. Surprisely, every major European designer has a store in this town as well. And there are other interesting towns nearby. Kurashiki and Kotahira are steeped in tradition with not a lot if Western travelers.

We had a lot of fun driving over the huge bridges to get there, and were so surprised at the size of this town/city! It was a lot bigger than expected and took some time to actually reach the hotel! This isn't really reflected in the map! We could have stayed much longer to enjoy the scenery and city but hadn't planned it in itinerary. So, I can't comment well on what it has to offer as we were time poor. But, driving thru and staying for a night was a very enjoyable experience using both bridges to the island! A lovely area.
The train station is less than a 5-minute walk, and the neighborhood is quiet. There is a dedicated parking spot during your stay, which makes it convenient when you have a car. There is a Lawson within 5 minutes, but it isn't a 24-hour store. The drug store next door stays open until midnight for a late-night grab.
The apartment is older but has what you need for a long or short stay. There is a twin bed or a tatami room for the family.
A short walk from Takamatsu Port / Station / Castle, this is a top notch business hotel. We took the Lounge option which provides great value for the spend - late afternoon snacks & drinks, and a pretty amazing breakfast spread. The rooms are good size and have all the required amenities expected in Japanese business hotels. Quite a few good restaurants close by.
Fantastically located across the road from Takamatsu Station. It's not quite the city centre but great access to the main JR station and the local station is also a short 5min walk was away Bed was plenty big and room had enough space. Check in was a bit quirky as it was in another building but not a big deal. Staff were super friendly and helpful as well.
Location is the best in town. Hotel is close to train staion, and you can see the hotel sign in front of the station. It is also close to Takamatsu castle park as well. Also several good restaurants are near by. main shopping and business places are about 10-15min walk and easy to navigate.
Breakfast was simple, but it had everything I need.
The owner is awesome and very kind. It was the best hostel in my 4 week Japan journey. Hostel is well kept, even though it's not brand new, it's clean and feels like home. All evenings when I stayed there, I was able to have chats with other guests, very nice social environment (and not a party house).
Location is great. Right outside the train station, walking distance to the ferry in one direction and the long shopping arcade in the other direction. Very convenient to all sights and transportation in Takamatsu.
Room is small but comfortable. Breakfast is quite good. Excellent value over all.
Standard business hotel close to train/bus station. It fit my own practical needs. The location won't fit someone's wish for a scenic/atmospheric location. I appreciated being able to open my room window. Optional breakfast was a good deal, considering that I'm a light eater.
Hotel was located perfectly: walking distance to all of the main attractions of Takamatsu, right under the main arcade.
The apartament was very spacious especially for japanese standards.
It had all of the neccessary amentities and was clean. Check in process was very easy.
The public bath on the top floor, especially because my room was on the same floor, only 25 steps door to door. The hotel is situated right in the front of the train station and the limousine bus to the airport. And walking distance to the port to other islands.
A gorgeous and stylish guest house, beautifully equipped with all you could need. Comfortable and within easy reach of the train station with a shopping street just up the street. Staff are friendly and helpful and Takamatsu is a beautiful city to visit.
A typical low-end business hotel. The laundry facilities were useful and reasonably priced. It's located fairly near the main shopping arcades in Takamatsu, lots of eating options nearby and the train station and the port are a shortish walk.
The staff don't speak much english, but it was we were still able to communicate what was necessary to them, despite not knowing Japanese. The club access is worth paying for! You feel pretty fancy going to the club in this swanky hotel.
The location is in walking distance from Takamatsu station. The building and room looks modern on the photos with self-services and information provided. It seems everything taken care.
The toilet and bath/shower/sink were separate, like a Japanese home, and very cozy. Bath was roomy and nice with stylish and new wood wallpaper/panels. Seemed like a new hotel.
Great location near Takamatsu station and nice, comfortable room. Bathroom was lovely, breakfast was lovely and all the staff were also helpful and friendly.
