I expected a beach area with a south pacific vibe. Instead it was a theme park. We couldnt use the beach that the hotel overlooked because it was closed and had to walk 2 beaches over. Very disappointed.

Chatan is an ideal location for people visiting family members in the military. It's very close to most of the bases, and has a wide selection of hotels. There is public transportation, but It's very walkable (in most areas). We felt very safe walking around. The America Village there has lots of shops, restaurants and bars. They supplied towels, washer, dryer & detergent. There was a be quiet at night rule which I really liked. You didnt have to keep up with a key to get into your room. You just had to remember the code that was special to you. This isn't your normal hotel, I stayed multiple times because I like the set up. Only room when u book the room with a balcony it will be a tight squeeze but the balcony was awesome.

It is just a short walk from American Village where there are plenty of options for food, shopping, and entertainment. Sunabe is also nearby for those interested in snorkeling or surfing. The hotel itself is similar to most Mr. Kinjos on the island but the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is polite and friendly.
