Location was excellent for us - looking to do day walks in local area. Room was excellent with huge bath - a big reward after many miles each day as now in my late 60's. Breakfast was superb - we only needed the 'Small Breakfast' which was great quality, proper bacon and everything tasted how it should! The 'big breakfast' read as twice the size and even though I have big appetite would have really taken some eating !! - Good Luck. Evening meals were also good. Proper tasting Burger - good portions - very friendly staff. Having a pair of binoculars in the room to view the wildlife from the window was a real nice touch even though tide was out most the time we were using room. Overall an excellent place to stay and we felt lucky to have been able to book 1 of only 2 rooms here. Thank You.

So clean and beautifully laid out. Lovely little touches around the place made it feel very homely. They left some breakfast things in cupboard and chocolates which was so nice.
Little garden we could use at front of property.
You do have to drive to things but only a short trip. Went to Cawsand, Kingsand and PortWrinkle such beautiful places.

The restaurant was nice. Tables were nicely spaced, breakfast and evening meals were quite good and evening meals not too expensive.
Hotel location was ok but walking to activities was a bit much (age) so taxis was the norm
Just off the A38, with easy access to Plymouth's city centre, Dartmoor and the beaches of Devon and Cornwall, the hotel offers great value, with free parking and a restaurant and bar.

Torpoint is a good place to base yourself to tour the area, and away from the bustle of Plymouth, lots to do nearby. Ferry closing at 21.30 is the only limitation, in terms of connectivity to Devon- Torpoint is in Cornwall...

We found Torpoint a nice quiet place during the mornings and evenings, but was in a position that it was easy to get to Plymouth via the passenger ferry which only took 8 mins to cross over the River Tamar and then connected with a Bus into Plymouth City Center and was next to Edgecumbe Park and House

I think it is misleading to call this Torpoint, as the place I stayed is actually Seaton, a lovely little village by the sea. The apartment was on a small complex in a lovely setting with fabulous sea views. Excellent accommodation - no phone signal but good wi-fi connection.
I ate at the Smugglers Inn and the Beach House, both walking distance from the apartment and excellent food. I also tried the cafe right on the beach for coffee and a very large slice of cake.
I walked along the beach to the Inn on the Shore in the next village Downderry, where coffee and free cake was on offer. There is a small shop here for basics but would recommend stopping in Liskeard for a bigger shop. I saw an Aldi and Morrisons.
There is a bus service to Plymouth and Liskeard but you need to plan as they are only about every two hours. I caught the bus from Plymouth to Liskeard ( due to rail strikes) and then booked a cab with a very friendly and helpful lady at MYKabs from Liskeard to Seaton.
All in all a very relaxing break and the weather was very kind for October.

I had bad experience, we are five including 3 children, staff provide 2 tissue roll a day . Waiter had long hair, cloth has full of hair, May be dog hair.
Cloth look like they never change , hygienic problem, beds are not comfortable. I already paid all money sadly. Otherwise I could move next day . No jug or glass , no shop closed to buy anything. Waiter are not friendly. We stayed 3 nights no towel replaced, what sort of 4 star is this ? Booking.com need to refund money or show propert 2 star .
Beautiful secluded old hotel with extensive grounds in a quiet location just off the South West Coast Path. Very peaceful and quaint atmosphere with marvellous views across the countryside. Very friendly, kind and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Spacious comfortable bedroom with a wonderful view from the window and good size bathroom. Everything very clean and tidy - the room was serviced while we were out. Overall a very pleasant stay!
Breakfast was excellent, room was comfortable and location was great. Onsite parking available to those staying at the hotel only, and walking distance to Mount Edgcumbe a popular wedding venue. Hourly ferries to near Royal William Yard £2 each way (foot passengers only, car ferry a little drive away at Torpoint), so easy access to Plymouth too.
Amazing property tucked away in Torpoint but from.the 2nd floor you have wide reaching views across to the dockyard and Plymouth Sound.
Wonderful room with excellent facilities and a lovely breakfast too. Couldn't fault the place and Milton the owner's communication was second to none and very friendly and accommodating.
We were in the Lodge downstairs. It centrally located with easy access to Cliffs, Millbrook, Cawsand, Kingsand, Torpoint & Plymouth. We thoroughly enjoyed the food it was absolutely yummy and Leah was absolutely fantastic.
The bed was comfortable and clean and the room was very inviting and fit our needs.
The pub was lovely, comfortable and welcoming. The view from our room looked out onto the river tamar so there was plenty to see as we relaxed in the mornings. Staff were wonderful and make us feel welcome. We were a short drive from the Torpoint ferry so got easily across to Devon or deeper into Cornwall.
This is the 2nd time we have come, and we just cant rate this place enough, it gets better and better everytime we go. Close to the beach just a 10 minute walk. The facilities are just stunning better than most 5* hotels for toilets and showers. Can't rate it enough. We will be back every year xxx
Great access for Cornwall and torpoint. Great hosts, clean Lodge. Ideal for what we needed to be bear relatives and getting out and around. Weather poor but cannot blame that on the Carew Arms. Food excellent.
huge, spacious, very clean, well equipped, well situated with exceptional views over Torpoint and Plymouth. also a fantastic on-site bar and restaurant serving great food, compliments to the chef.
Location was spot on, easy to hop on the Ferry to Plymouth or a short drive (20 to 45 mins) to all the great places on the Torpoint peninsula. Also right next to a brilliant pub
The accommodation was really good, everything that we needed was there. The location was great for coastal walks to the nearby villages or the ferry to Plymouth.
