Paris has a magnificent vibe, but you must let in run through you (metaphorically). Take in the smells, the sights, the scenery and always look up as you will always see something others don't! Using the metro is easy, but remember to look for your destination on the signs so you walk to the correct platform. I purchased a three day metro pass and it was perfect to get me around Ile de France. Eat anywhere you please; outside at a cafe is always great and good for people watching. Definitely take an early (around 830-930) morning visit to Mouffetard and have breakfast at one of the cafes in the square. The stalls and the food shops in the area are good to see and experience.

The neighborhood I have to stay at was so dirty, noisy and scary. I did not feel in security at all there. It feels like travelling to a totally different country that is definitely not France... To avoid, spend your valuable time visiting some other places in Ile de France.

A beautiful and cozy hotel, perfect for a long weekend getaway from the hustle & bustle of Paris. Situated by a lake in forest, it’s truly the rejuvenation you need. The staff are super lovely and accommodating. The fresh daily breakfast spread is also super impressive. We had the prestige room, facing the lake, the beds are comfortable and the jacuzzi with a champagne buzzer is the cherry on top of this stay! Hence we stayed twice in a week! There’s a walking path to the forest right in front of the property. Versailles and Paris are super close by so you’re never too far from any shopping or site seeing activities. Looking forward to staying again already!

The hotel is in a calm beautiful location,20 mins to Disneyland by taxi and also 5 mins to the Parrot world park- amazing for kids and families. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I had some problems with the room and the manager was very kid by compensating the inconvenience with the breakfast. Overall we loved our stay. Everything. Le Barn is simply the best child-friendly place we have ever visited. Yet, it is also the most adult-friendly place too. There are lots of activities for kids, nature-inspired, the breakfast and overall the food at the restaurant is amazing. The 16+ spa area is wonderful and tranquil. The ayurverdic massage is a must. Le Barn shares the estate with the horseback riding school La Cense, and that in itself is fantastic - there are 6 ponies that the smaller children can take for a walk but also lessons, etc. The hotel organizes lots of events - mini olympics, archery, after lunch walks in the forest, fishing, etc. There are numerous bike trails too. We brought our own bikes but the hotel had Woom Bikes of every size + electric cargo bikes and other adult bikes too. There is a community room for children to play, watch a movie and eat their dinner on a looong table full of kids (babysitter is watching them). I can go on and on :) But we will be happy to come back one day.
