Breakfast was very good with varied choices to suit all, evening meals are also varied & good choice, large portions. Staff were extremely helpful & attentive, nothing was too much trouble throughout the stay. Rooms were much larger than expected, clean & good selection of Teas & coffee. The area was clean & locals were very friendly & chatty, so take the time to be the same. Would recommend staying here. Parking pass given from the hotel, allows you to park free for the duration of your stay with the added benefit of using the car park free for the rest of the day once booked out.

Tintagel is a lovely village it has some real quaint shops and the castle beach is well worth a visit although found the entry fee to the castle a bit steep so we didn’t do that the tide was out for a visit to Merlin’s cave but be prepared for steep steps 😂 the pasty shop was lovely too and all the tea shops etc looked amazing happy travels 🥰🥰

I am trying to review Fisherman’s cottage-which was great except that it didn’t state anywhere in it that it was a studio flat. It said it had one bedroom but there is no door to separate it from the rest of the cottage so u are essentially sleeping in the same room as a fridge & freezer gurgling all night -and if u have a dog u have to sleep in the same room as it unless u shut it in the bathroom. I just thought that it was important to make this point somewhere as nowhere seemed to let me review the cottage properly- just gave me a set of tick box questions. As I said it is a lovely cottage unless u mind sleeping with ur dog and a fridge and freezer in the same room-which I did! As for Tintagel-been coming here for years and is as lovely as ever!
Dolphins is in a great location with loads to do in Tintagel as well as having easy access to go else where in Cornwall. All the staff there are fabulous - John the owner is a really genuine guy and a great man to talk to. He’s given me lots of recommendations to see different places and where to go around locally. Leah, Adam, Rosie and Mollie are all super friendly and couldn’t be anymore helpful - they showed me around the area and we did a trip to the sunset at the bottom of Tintagel for some great photos!
We had a great room with a bay window looking out towards Tintagel castle so were very happy with the view. The room was large and the bed and bedding were nice and comfortable. We visited at xmas and the decorations and rooms looked lovely for the season. The hotels an interesting atmosphere and "quirky" giving it a nice charm to alot of "normal" hotels I stay at. Great place to have a walk along the cliffs from in the wind and have a well prepared and delicious meal, we loved our stay.
Exceptional stay - the property was spotlessly clean, newly refurbished, the room had all needed amenities and more (even bathrobe was provided), quality mattress and bedding, gorgeous view of the sea and 19th century castle. Owners of the property were very welcoming, advised on the best route to the hotel and shared taxi contacts. Lovely breakfast, especially the fresh fruit salad. Location is the best for the views and access to Tintagel Castle.
The customer service was excellent. the bed in our room was very unstable the first day we came to stay, the staff instantly acknowledged the situation and placed us into a better room until the bed in our room was completely replaced. The breakfast was included in our visit and was really nice. The hotel is quite close to scenic places like the Merlin’s cave and Tintagel castle. Shops, bakeries, takeaway and fish & chips within a mile radius.
The food was amazing, breakfast was far larger than I expected. The rooms were really lovely, the building is from the 1350's but the rooms have been modernised really well (loads of sockets!) while keeping the historic aesthetic. It may be one of the nicest old buildings I've stayed in, very comfortable and warm.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful too, great service. I'd definitely stay here again if I come back to Tintagel.
Room was big and very clean. Lovely, sparkly white towels. Bath sheet was huge! Beds comfortable. Fan provided in room. Lovely window seats overlooking the old post office. Huge bathroom. Shower was exceptionally clean. Toiletries and hairdryer provided. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk in the room with instructions how to obtain top ups. Car park free and hotel ideally situated for Tintagel Castle. Good choice on menu
Breakfast was lovely - fully cooked with lots of choice! Service from the staff was great throughout - they were very attentive and friendly. Parking was very convenient and spacious and we were kindly allowed to leave our car in the car park during the day while we went for a hike to Boscastle. Location is pretty much the most central place you could be in Tintagel for a tourist.
The location was amazing, very close to the castle ,if you are a keen walker you wouldn't have to use your car as u could walk for miles, Remember to go &look at the old post office in tintagel,All the staff@the hotel made me feel very welcome Breakfast was amazing ,i eat in the hotel every night I was disappointed, you must try the beef &ale pie,
We loved our stay at Tintagel Arms Hotel, all staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food was exceptionally good and the room although small was perfect for us ❤ will happily stay there again not just because it was good value but the best experience overall. Thank you to Dawn and the rest of the staff at Tintagel Arms Hotel x
the dogs were treated so nicely in the hotel and even a throw provided so they could sleep on the bed such a lovely thought! Breakfast was delicious in a very attractive conservatory with wide views of Tintagel castle, the entrance to which was practically next door
Could not be a better location. Very close to Tintagel Castle and in the center of town. Staff went out of the way to find alternative choices for my gluten and dairy intolerant sister at breakfast. Big bonus that I could bring my dog.
We had a wonderful time at Tintagel Arms b&b. Everything was perfect!
1. Clean, very
2. Location, Amazing
3. Breakfast, delicious
4. Prices, great
We highly recommend the place, feels just like home :)
Central location so ideal for visiting the castle. Welcome was good and room clean although shower room was in need of some TLC. Separate access for those staying so didn't have to walk through restaurant
It is small hotel with very friendly hosts, delicious fresh breakfast, nice equipment for a short stay. Easy access to Tintagel Castle (run by
English Heritage) and beautiful nature area nearby
The huge breakfast, hotel location with amazing views in every direction, convenient for 95 bus stop and coastal path to walk to Tintagel Castle, the solid old Hotel building was warm throughout.
Centrally located in Tintagel. A very nice stay with a lovely cooked breakfast. Clean room with double aspect windows (room 1) overlooking the high street plus a very comfortable bed.
The owner is very accommodating as we came in late due to a delay. Very close to the ruins and a view of the castle hotel. Very close to town and could walk within minutes.
The Hideaway is a bright, very clean and tastefully decorated home. Everything is brand new and well maintained. The place is right in the heart of Tintagel.
