What a lovely hotel, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms, super dog friendly fabulous location and stunning views. What’s not to love about this place. The rooms that are dog friendly do not smell of dog, everywhere is dog friendly and we just loved it.

Excellent value for money. Great views, spotlessly clean and just a short walk from the coastal path and a lovely traditional pub. The tent had everything we needed- we will be back!

The manager on duty on the night of April 12th (a gentleman) was very friendly and really helpful. For this gratitude,we might come back to this hotel again.
Nice view.

We loved Boscastle as a base to explore the north coast of Cornwall. Coastal walks are stunning and we visited Padstow, Tintagel, Port Isaac and the Eden project (about 45 mins-1 hour drive). I believe that Bude and Newquay are a similar drive away but didn't get to visit them on this trip.
If you want a very special meal and like sea food we would definitely recommend the "Rocket Store". This place was featured in one of Rick Stein's Cornwall programmes and although not cheap it fully lived up to expectations and we enjoyed a fabulous last night meal. Several other pub and restaurant options which we didn't try apart from the Napolean Inn close to our cottage and this was also very good and served an excellent Sunday lunch.

As we visited in December, it was quiet allowing us to meander and enjoy the area without the crowds.
The people we met were all pleasant and friendly and made our visit enjoyable.
I can only imagine, what it must be like for traffic etc in peak season, which I personally would avoid due to the limited access and parking.
Places we ate were The Wellington, the Cobweb and the Riverside.
Of the three we enjoyed the Riverside for quality and value mostly, but we would recommend all for various reasons.
We joined in with the community when they lit the lobsterpot Christmas tree, along with local school children singing and Boscastle Morris team dancing and then back into the pub to warm up.

I stayed for 2 days.
I stayed for 2 days. You could stay 1 day longer, but that would be about it. In theory, you could be able to cover most of the main sites around the town within a day or a day and a half.
The witchcraft museum is definitely worth a visit. I was really surprised and learnt a lot. An odd place for such a museum, but then again, it's as good a place as any.
Make sure you book one of the restaurants. Especially on a Friday or Saturday night, almost no place, including The Riverside where I was staying was accepting walk-ins.

A good location for exploring that part of Cornwall. A good selection of hotels and restaurants, we tried all of them during our stay and they were all friendly and welcoming. The car park is close to all the facilities and is charged until 1600 Monday to Sunday.

Pretty place to visit, very interesting.
Pretty place to visit, very interesting. Lovely walks to be had too.
Take a purse full of 20pence pieces as a lot of the harbours residents have had to take on the the upkeep of the toilet facilities, therefore unfortunately having to charge for usage.
Lovely restaurants but ideally need to pre-book as they get very busy! We didn’t go during school holidays and was still booked up. Some really cute shops to buy gifts.
The location was perfect for us, although we didn't walk down to Boscastle because of the weather, in the summer this would certainly have been possible (although would be a steep walk up!). We drove out to Port Isaac, Rock, Eden Project and Tintagel as well as St Nectan's waterfall. The cottage was clean, comfortable and great for kids and dog. Very relaxing. We liked the scones and clotted cream on arrival and a chew for the dog, a lovely touch!
Gorgeous views and lovely outdoor play area for the kids. The cottage was lovely and clean with lots of essentials provided (soap, washing liquid, salt and pepper, foil etc). Lovely friendly hosts and a nice little welcome including scones and cream and a small carton of milk for a brew on arrival.
There was plenty to do within a short drive, lots of quaint towns and beaches. We went to Boscastle, Port Isaac, Bude, Newquay.
The location of this hotel is superb, being in the centre of the village, by the main bridge. We enjoyed being in the thick of things. Our room was of a very good size, after being in smaller rooms in two other destinations. There was a kettle and tea making facilities.
The blonde Waitress on dinner service when we were there was wonderful. She was very kind, professional, and efficient: she is a credit to your business.
The friendly atmosphere and staff, who were professional and approachable; nothing was too much trouble. The decor and feel of the hotel. We loved the fact the hotel had so much history and wasn't too modernised. The food was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, right from the moment we signed in. It all went too quickly. We will definitely come back and recommend it to our family and friends.
An exceptional property. The host, Georgie, has provided a gorgeous and comfortable accommodation with the greatest attention to detail. Every realistic need has been catered for. Just be aware that Boscastle is a steep area and the property has external stone stairs and 4 internal stairs down to the stunning bathroom. I so wish I could have made use of the claw foot bath tub.
The cottage had everything we needed. It was cozy, clean, and exactly as described. The very nice touches made it all the more special — scones and clotted cream, milk in the fridge, and a note explaining everything. I also liked the website and blog offering tons of suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the area. Would stay there again!
Excellent accommodation, meals (including vegan options) and service (from cheerful & friendly staff). Hotel has easily accessible location, slightly away from the main through traffic, but a very easy walk to all the visitor attractions of Boscastle. Even as teetotalers we liked the country pub feel to the Wellington.
The location in the village was prefect for us, away for the main harbour, but close the to a local shop and a 10 minute, if steep, walk down to the harbour. Cosy feel to the cottage and very comfortable bed. Great to have the welcome pack on arrival of local goods and a coffee machine.
The hotel was beautiful, the staff by far the most cordial in my entire month's visit to the UK.
I stayed in the writer Hardy's suite, and it was spacious as well as luxurious. The restaurant was 4 star in our experiences. So good that we ate dinner in both nights.
I highly recommend
Good location for my work at a local business. The decor of the Sloe cottage was excellent and I likes the hanging tapestries and ornaments. The views from the property are great, and I liked the small garden seating area available for residents which had good views.
Lovely cottage - really comfortable, homely and very clean. Nicely decorated and very central location for Boscastle Harbour near some good walks and places to eat or take away. Everything you need available for a stay. Would definitely return.
Apartment was perfect. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and setting area. Large bathroom with bath and shower.
Central yet quiet location just 5 minutes walk to the harbour. Own parking area. Pubs & Restuarants about 200m away,
To start, the location, the cream tea on arrival, Mel and Adam there if needed, the view, the cleanliness of the stay, the peacefulness, the walk to the pub, the taxi back up the hill from Boscastle and the friendliness of the locals.
Excellent hosts Liz & Anthony.
Very helpful and informative ,beautiful quiet location only 5 minutes from Boscastle.
Amazing breakfast.
Would highly recommend anybody to stay.
We will return
The location on farm just outside of Boscastle provided easy parking. The facilities provided in the Barn superior studio were excellent and very spacious(a one bedroom apartment).
Great location. Good view from our family room. Shared bathroom/toilet was clean and spotless. Good kitchen and dining area. Friendly and helpful staff.
