Breakfast was superb. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Even got a sausage for the dog for breakfast.
We would like to introduce you to The Tempus at Charlton Hall Estate, a decadent place where colours collide, and imaginations are captured.

Didn't have breakfast so can't comment.
Loved the decor. The Tepi in the garden was a real bonus. Live singer set a great atmosphere. Pizzas were good too.
The room was stunning with fantastic bathroom. Bed really comfy
In the centre of Alnwick, this 300-year-old coaching inn is a short walk from Alnwick Castle and Gardens. Its restaurant’s decor was salvaged from the Titanic’s sister ship. Free parking is available....

How the owner was a fantastic host and nothing was a problem. Having breakfast with the dogs were my boys favourite part. Very clean and spotless would recommend to anyone.

The castle and gardens at Alnwick are well worth a visit, for a special treat on a Sunday book a table for the Treehouse restaurant in the Alnwick Garden, we had the Sunday lunch, two of us had the beef and one of us had the lamb, it was the best Sunday lunch that we have had in a long time, we were very lucky as it was fairly quiet, but I would imagine that it gets very busy in the Summer with the fine weather.

Alnwick Castle - and Gardens - and both very impressive and the castles interiors are amazing. It is close to the wonderful Northumberland coast which, although it can be a little cold, on the fine days which we had were brilliant, especially around Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh Castles and up to Lindisfarne/Holy Island as well as the Farne Islands. There were major roadworks in the town centre of Alnwick when we visited but think these will complete in next few days. We did not visit Alnwick itself, just drove through.

Alnwick is a good place to visit and is an ideal base for exploring the area.
There are a number of good restaurants and cafes.
Alnwick Castle is worth a visit, but don’t bother with Alnwick Gardens as they are small and over priced.

This was our first visit to Alnwick and we've fallen in love! There were so many intriguing and characterful shops to explore and we were spoilt for choice for lovely places to eat. We would whole heartedly recommend eating a SherKhan - some of the best curry we've ever had - and also The Adam and Eve.
Dirty Bottles is a fab venue, great for a drink but would skip the very averge food next time.

The castle and gardens were closed but we have been in them before and so we were not disappointed. A walk along the river at the back of the castle is very nice and a good test of your waterproofs and footwear. Hulne park has good walks. Alnwick is a beautiful town. Berwick and Morpeth nearby, complement the area.
This was a fantastic house for a family vacation, close to everything in Alnwick and convenient for groceries, etc. Everything we needed was in the house, great decor, great showers, plenty of towels and linens, etc. We didn't have a car but it was only 5-7 minutes walk from the bus that took us to Alnmouth, Amble, Warkworth, etc. Just a 10 minute walk to the centre of town or the castle. The owner was helpful and accommodating, all in all highly recommend the Old Sweet Shop for anyone vacationing in Northumberland!
Location was perfect just behind Barter Books and near enough to walk to Alnwick Castle and Gardens plus everything else Alnwick had to offer.
Hosts and flat were lovely and every need was catered for in the property. There was a lovely welcome pack left for us plus milk and a bottle of prosecco, which was a really nice touch.
Beds were comfortable, furnishings were tasteful and there was plenty of hot water for baths and showers; the flat was also lovely and warm. We would definitely book again
The location is close to the Castle grounds and the poison garden! We were keen to see the gardens. The centre of town is a short walk up the road and the book exchange is nearby too.
The bar was friendly and gave good service, breakfast, served on the first floor, was really good. We opted to stay in for dinner too, good quality food delivered by cheerful staff.
We were very happy that the carpark was there and very close by.
Brilliant place to stay. One of the most comfortable, well equipped, clean places we have ever stayed. Everything we needed was there, as a person who likes to cook I was thrilled with the kitchen. So often you go to holiday lets and the knives are blunt and the pans sparse, but the equipment here was better than mine at home! If we’d stayed longer we would have had a go with the omelette and toastie makers.
The friendliest welcome from a perfect gent. Couldn't be more attentive. Room was lovely size to the front of the property. Comfortable and clean room. All the little details, fantastic, even an umbrella in the room. They seem to have considered everything for their visitors.
Breakfast was to a very high standard. Taking personal preferences into account.
Great place to stay, a traditional B&B.
Great boutique hotel in the heart of Alnwick. Beautifully decorated. Exceptional staff - always friendly and willing to help. The bistro restaurant on site is excellent too. Breakfasts are delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would certainly book again when in the area.
I bought this for my mums 70th for her and my dad to go away. They had a fabulous time said they had everything they needed for a great stay. Only a 10min walk into Alnwick and they said the Italian was nice near by. They went to the theatre, cinema and The Gardens and The Castle.
Nice size rooms, very clean and quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly. Good breakfast. Great location in the centre of Alnwick near all the attractions. One of our party appreciated having a key instead of a card for the rooms. The hotel does have a nice classical feel.
Location was excellent. Easy walking distance to Alnwick Castle and Garden, restaurants and grocery stores. Very clean and comfortable. Parking was easy. We had a toddler and a high chair was present, as well as a TV with Netflix for children.
Accomodation had stopped doing breakfast but were directed to a nearby cafe where we could sit outside in a peaceful square to enjoy our breakfast. Good location for visiting Alnwick Castle and Gardens. Lovely host with a warm welcome.
Warm comfy spacious room with great en suite - bed super comfy! Food on site excellent and great value. Staff on duty were fab - very accommodating and friendly. Great base to explore Northumberland from
Very comfortable place to stay and close to shops in Alnwick as well as the castle and grounds.
The owners were very pleasant and always helpful.
