Ibis Styles Sydney Central is on the doorstep of the vibrant Surry Hills and Oxford Street.

One of the best hotels in Sydney! We were fortunate to spend the weekend in this modern, recently renovated hotel that boasts a central Sydney location within walking distance of transport and all Sydney has to offer. Our room was on an upper floor with a large bed, double lounge, small table, kitchenette and adequate bathroom. The hotel experience was outstanding from check in to departure with the service friendly and helpful at every interaction. The check in system is self service but was very straightforward with friendly concierge staff on hand to make sure all goes smoothly. We then made our way to our newly refurbished room where we were met with a lovely welcome card complete with wine and snacks to celebrate our special occasion 💖. The hotel also has a trendy bar (MeSo 🍸) and larger breakfast restaurant. I can recommend happy hour to settle in before you head out to explore Sydney's night life 🎉. Overall this hotel is a must for value, location, cleanliness and friendly staff. We'll be back for sure 💯

We went to Grease at the Capitol Theatre and & Juliet at the Lyric Theatre and both were amazing. We had late night dining at a Thai Restaurant in Little Hayes St and a Korean restaurant in Chinatown both lovely. We had High Tea at the Hyatt Regency and it was beautiful. Sydney is a wonderful cosmopolitan city.

Sydney is a wonderful cosmopolitan city. Great food, good coffee, lots of walking so take comfy shoes, I wouldn't bother with Taranga Zoo, animals in enclosures far too small, a really depressing environment so wished I'd missed that out. Great trip to Manly on Ferry. Nice northern beaches. Opera on the waterfront was superb. Lots to do in Sydney and always busy. Opal cards to get around were brilliant. Public transport is second to none. All in all a great place for a visit. However, booking.com was super hard to get hold of when on arrival in Australia the trip started to unravel with no driver to collect us from airport and when we did finally get to our accommodation under our own steam, the accommodation was abysmal and ruined our entire trip being subjected to the rude lazy staff at veriu camperdown coupled with the issue of getting hold of anyone in booking.com to help sort it out. Once they have taken your funds about a week prior to arrival its too late. No one is interested after that. Felt helpless. A horrible experience that I'd never want to repeat. Will never book with booking.com again. Too risky for service.

Weather was horrid drizzle and cold wind. Never felt 100% safe on the street. Museum Ramses 2 great (do the VR) Outdoor theatre was magnificent with Opera house , bridge and city scape in the background. Had a horrible experience when leaving airport security confiscated a electronic lighter that was a gift left a very sour taste in my mouth about travel to Sydney. Other than that lots to see and do, easy enough to get around, food was good and accommodation ok.

Sydney in March/April is such a beautiful time to visit.

Sydney in March/April is such a beautiful time to visit. Get around by ferries, walk around Barangaroo, and visit Bennie the Sydney Opera House seal who comes to sit on the steps each day. A visit to Sydney should not be without a coastal walk from Bronte to Bondi (and back again), stopping for lunch at Bondi Ice Bergs. Public Transport is easy and affordable, however, I try to avoid the trains as they didnt feel very safe. Highlight restaurant was Penelopes at Circular Quay

Location is excellent. One of cheapest hotels in Sydney with awesome views. Great pub downstairs. And there’s another bar on L4 with a number of lounges to sit in. Restaurant/bar on L5 but more formal-no flip flops allowed. Lovely staff and old historical building. Walk outside literally down some steps and you’re on the harbour. 15 minutes walk to opera house or you can cut through The Rocks area and walk in 5 minutes. The city is 10 minutes walk the other direction so everything is nearby.

The room was very spacious which was nice and a great big shower. The location is perfect to get around the CBD with restaurants, bars and shops very close by as well as tram/bus stops that take you to Circular Quay (5min) or Bondi (25min). Darling Harbour and its attractions as well as the Skytower are all within a 10-minute footwalk. Last but not least the Hotel really lives up to its slogan "Old world charm meets modern comfort". This is exactly how we felt.

The location is close to the airport which is very handy when you need to quickly get to or from the airport. Noise insulation in the rooms is excellent - one does not hear the aircraft landing or taking off, or any of the noise from the street. Short walk to the train station (5-6 minutes) makes trips to CBD or other locations around Sydney very easy. Additionally, there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel, adding to the ease of using public transport.

I like the lovely, welcoming Federation-style decor, ensuite bathroom, private balcony overlooking the garden and microwave oven. Location is great, close to Northern Sydney CBD but really quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Also love the metal keys, which don't keep failing all the time like the "access" (Not!) digital cards used by hotel chains! Very good value for money, especially compared to other northside hotels.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is literally next to the Green Square train station which made travelling about Sydney and to/from the airport so, so convenient.
